The purpose of this writing workshop is to help children develop their writing skills. Kids will be taught a strategy that will assist them in developing a good writing piece. They will walk away with a final written product and the knowledge of how to write good essays in their future classes at school. The length of the writing piece depends on their grade level.

FORMAT

Each 1-hour workshop includes small group instructions, 1 on 1 teacher assistance, a student written assignment, and individual student writing conferences using breakout rooms on Zoom. We want to make sure they understand how to use the writing strategy and truly understand the process. There will also be an opportunity to expand their practice which will be discussed in the last session.​
